MEEKER | Meekerpalooza’s popular free concert series returns to downtown Meeker this Friday, June 13. Events will feature the Meeker Market, beer garden, cornhole tournament, and a performance by Noodle Soup Dixieland Jazz.
The Meeker Market is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. and is organized and managed by the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. Follow the Market’s Facebook page for updates @meekerfarmersmarket.
Beer garden and live music begin at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the beer garden will support nonprofit Meeker Arts & Cultural Council (MACC). MACC is currently working on a community theater presentation of Matilda, with performances scheduled for August.
Returning musical performer Noodle Soup Dixieland Jazz is billed as western Colorado’s “premier traditional New Orleans style Dixieland jazz and blues band” with over 250 years of collective experience between the band’s musicians, according to their website. The performance is sponsored by ERBM Recreation & Park District.
ERBM is also hosting a cornhole tournament, with the winning team receiving half the pot in the form of Chamber Bucks! Cost is $10/team. Pre-register through ERBM’s registration portal (erbmrec.com/register) or register day-of from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse basketball court.
