Pitching clinic…

The Colorado Northwestern Community College Spartans softball team hosted a pitching clinic for 18 young ladies from Meeker Dec. 5. Coach Briana Williams from Meeker reached out to CNCC’s coaches for some help with pitching. The beginning of this school year was Meeker High School’s first year with junior varsity softball, and MHS received word recently that they will add varsity softball next fall. The young ladies in the clinic ranged in age from 7 to 17 years old. Coach Candra Robie said the basics were broken down for the girls and then they were given their chance to sling pitches to the Lady Spartans. The Spartan softball team hopes to see these girls again in the fall for another clinic, Robie said.
