LETTER TO THE EDITOR: County asks water users to conserve amid extremely low flows

Dear Editor:
The Rio Blanco County Board of County Commissioners asks that everyone who depends on the White River do what they reasonably can to conserve water during an exceptionally difficult water year.
The situation is serious throughout the basin, but particularly acute on the lower White River. Under current natural flow conditions, there is not enough water in the White River to maintain flow past the Town of Rangely’s municipal water intake. Emergency reservoir…
