RBC debuts new website

Special to the HT

Rio Blanco County has launched its redesigned website at www.rbc.us, offering improved accessibility, a mobile-friendly design and new ways for residents to stay informed.

The website includes accessibility improvements to help the county meet Colorado’s digital accessibility requirements and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Its responsive, mobile-friendly layout makes county information easy to access from a phone, tablet or computer.

Visitors can find county news, job openings, bid opportunities and calendars listing upcoming meetings and agendas. For residents who do not use Facebook, an embedded feed on the homepage displays recent Rio Blanco County Facebook posts directly on the website.

Residents are encouraged to use the E-Notify feature to subscribe to text and email notifications for topics of interest such as county news, landfill closures, meeting agendas and new job listings. E-Notify is not used to convey emergency information and should not be confused with the sheriff’s office alert system.

Rio Blanco Alerts, the sheriff’s office “Reverse 911” emergency notification system, requires separate registration. Those who have not registered for Rio Blanco Alerts should visit the sheriff’s office page on the new website or contact dispatch for assistance.

Residents are encouraged to register for both E-Notify messaging and Rio Blanco Alerts, explore www.rbc.us and its new features, and check back regularly for updates and additional content.

To report an issue or seek assistance with the new site, please contact the webmaster via the online form or email [email protected].
