MEEKER I The Meeker Arts and Cultural Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Old West Heritage Culture Center, 517 Park St. in Meeker.
Current MACC projects include: fundraising and grant seeking for renovation of the Meeker High School Auditorium in cooperation with the Meeker School District; sponsor of Venturing Crew and Explorer Club for performing arts students; outreach program for MHS Drama Club enrichment activities; productions, Denver Center for the Performing Arts productions and theater arts training seminars; The Meekerpalooza Music and Fine Arts Festival; support for inclusion of performing arts accredited national core curriculum in school programs; dinner theaters and productions for local charitable and community organizations; support of the Old West Heritage Culture Center programs for heritage/agri-tourism and economic development; support of RBC Historical Society historical reenactment programs; and much more.
MACC is providing high quality performing arts entertainment and outreach programs for the Meeker community but cannot do it alone. If you want to see these great opportunities in your home town, please get involved, financially support and participate in this worthwhile effort.
Youth, adults and seniors are welcome and invited to participate and help plan exciting performing and fine arts activities.
