He is a member of National Honor Society, represented his high school at New Mexico Boys State and is recipient of the 2015 New Mexico School Boards Association Excellence For Student Achievement Award. In addition to serving as parliamentarian of his school Senate, Chase participated in Rodeo Club, where he served, for one year each, as secretary and vice president. He is a former member of the New Mexico High School Rodeo Association, where he participated in bull riding. Among recent awards, Chase placed first in the 2015 Coronado Optimist Club essay contest, participated in cross country for two years before switching to football for his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he was a co-captain of the football team and earned second-team all-district honors at tight end. Having participated in track and field for three years, Chase qualified for state in the pole vault and 4×100-meter relay. He also volunteers at the Cuba Senior Center and is an active participant in such activities as blood drives. Chase, who spent many of his summers in and around Rangely, enjoys ranch-related work, weightlifting, welding, swimming and hunting. He currently resides in Regina, N.M. with his sister, Rebecca, and his parents. His mother, Carol Brady Chase, is from England. His father, Clay Chase, is a graduate of Rangely High School and Colorado Northwestern Community College.
