On May 20, Leana Cox, right, of Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Rangely Campus, the advisor for the campus Phi Theta Kappa chapter, organized a food drive. The efforts were “not too shabby,” Cox said. Chris Brasfield, left, who runs the Rangely Food Bank, was delighted. She said the food bank is in dire need of canned goods and that if PTK had not collected the food, she had no idea what the bank would have had available to hand out in the past week. Cox said she was glad for the effort and very proud of the way the students chipped in. PTK is the national honor society for two-year colleges in the United States.
