SNHU signs agreement with state colleges, CNCC

RBC I Southern New Hampshire Univeristy (SNHU) recently signed an articulation agreement with the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), representing 13 community college campuses within the state, including Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely.
The agreement provides CCCS graduates with a direct transition from their associate’s degree into a bachelor’s degree program at SNHU-College of Online and Continuing Education (COCE). Specifically, they may continue their education in a variety of bachelor’s degree programs with the confidence that their coursework will transfer.

Additionally, Colorado Community College System alumni, employees and their immediate family members also will receive a 10 percent tuition reduction at SNHU.
“Community college graduates often face the challenge of transferring credits to a bachelor’s degree program; and partnerships, like this one, alleviate that concern by creating a direct pathway from an associate’s degree to a bachelor’s degree,” explained William Hartglass, vice president of undergraduate marketing at SNHU COCE. “We are always eager to work with community colleges that are looking to help students find ways to continue their education and achieve their personal and professional goals. This gives us the opportunity to share our resources and further our commitment to students.”
SNHU is a private, non-profit institution accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges as well as several other accrediting bodies. With more than 200 certificate, undergraduate and graduate programs offered, SNHU has one of the lowest tuition rates in the nation at $320 per credit hour, and one that has remained the same over the past four years. Current enrollment at SNHU is 50,000 students.
“This articulation agreement with Southern New Hampshire University is a great opportunity for our graduates and employees, as well as for the state of Colorado,” said Jerry Migler, provost with the Colorado Community College System. “We share a number of core values with Southern New Hampshire University—particularly the tenets of access and affordability. When entering into this agreement those were key priorities along with flexibility and transferability.”
The Colorado Community College System comprises the state’s largest system of higher education, serving more than 151,000 students annually, including those at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely.
It oversees career and academic programs in the 13 state community colleges and career and technical programs in more than 160 school districts and six other post-secondary institutions.
SNHU is a nonprofit, regionally accredited, private university with an 80-year history of educating successful professionals. SNHU has a total enrollment of more than 55,000 students in more than 200 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs, available online, at its main campus in Manchester and at its five regional centers in New Hampshire and Maine.
The university is regularly recognized with “Best of Business” awards for best online degree programs and as a top military-friendly school.
