The arts and crafts on display Friday and Saturday at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds in Meeker were wide and varied in design and content. (Far left) Meeker’s Brittany Bennett used a web to make cinches for horses’ saddles.
Tea cozies, quilts, hats, scarves and lap blankets were just a few of the things quilted by Mickie Tucker. The event was sponsored by The Ladies Social Club of Meeker and drew several arts and crafts booths and hundreds of visitors over the two days.
One of the more unique crafts were stars, snowflakes and other stained glass designs done by Meeker’s Sue Hickens.
Meeker’s Donna Noller displayed a wide variety of bead work. Noller had bracelets, rosaries, necklaces, earrings, pendants and a variety of other beaded objects for sale at the fair.
