RANGELY I The Douglas Creek Conservation District will hold its annual meeting and banquet in Rangely on Feb. 26.
The topic of the meeting is “Featuring Water Issues that Affect the Rangely Region.”
The dinner will be held in the Weiss Conference Room on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus in Rangely beginning at 5:30 p.m. with registration and social time. A free prime rib dinner will be served at 6 p.m., compliments of the conservation district, and that will be followed by the Douglas Creek Conservation District Report and an NRCS update at 6:30 p.m., guest speakers being Erin Light and Brian Romig of the state Division of Water Resources speaking on “Use and Keep It—But How Much Water Have I Used?” at 7 p.m.
That will be followed by the Yampa-White-Green Rivers Basin Roundtable Update and an update on the Colorado State Water Plan, given by Alden Vanden Brink, who is vice chairman of the roundtable group.
