The 2016 Meeker High School Prom Royal Court was announced before the beginning of the dancing at the prom, which was held Saturday evening at the Hugus Building to a nearly full house. Members of the royalty, from left in the back row: Attendants Jake Nielsen and Caitlyn Shepherd, Attendants Devon Pontine and Jenna Walsh, and Queen Kadie Hummel and King Nick Burri. A good portion of the junior and senior classes enjoyed the dancing on Saturday night that accompanied the 2016 MHS Junior/Senior Prom held in the Hugus Building after a class dinner at the Meeker Cafe. The junior class-sponsored event was well-attended and well-received by the students who partied on until 1 a.m. The Grand March began the event at 9 p.m., when all dates were introduced.
