On Monday, Oct. 24 at the Community Gardens in Rangely, people of all ages gathered to collect their free pumpkins. There were pumpkins of all shapes and sizes to choose from and adults and children alike seemed to have great fun making their choices. Though dark clouds gathered on the horizon, people still made time to gather some beautiful pumpkins many in preparation for their upcoming fall festivities. Carving pumpkins is a tradition that can be traced back to ancient times. The festive glow of a jack-o-lantern certainly signals a night of spooky fun on Halloween.
