Correction

RBC | In the Dec. 22, 2016, edition we mistakenly stated that the mule deer population had declined “by about a third of the previous winter range density,” when the population actually declined to one-third. Additionally, mule deer parturition takes place in late spring and early summer, not mid-summer as reported in the article. We regret the error.
