Rangely High School graduate Colt Allred made history by being the first cowboy out of the bucking chutes in the first-ever Meeker Rodeo Series which started last Thursday and will continue with another rodeo tonight at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds.
Shelby Tanner Kyle of Crawford, Colo., rode a bronc last Thursday and said she will be back every Thursday to compete in the Meeker Rodeo Series, which started last week.
Meeker’s Lane Anderson shows how a Wyoming state champion team roper performers in an arena, heading for his dad Travis last Thursday at the inaugural Meeker 2017 Summer Rodeo Series rodeo at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds. Anderson, a student at Barone Middle School, and his roping partner Mason Trollinger, recently won the Wyoming Junior High School State Finals and he became a two-time National Junior High School Rodeos Finals qualifier, which will be held in Lebanon, Tenn., starting June 18.
