Sweet music …

Thirty-six very talented musicians representing the Colorado Children’s Chorale performed at the Rangely High School Auditorium this past Friday and then went on to record their music at the world famous ‘Tank’ on Saturday. A mix of music and dance, the performers danced with the crowd and even taught Rangely’s youngsters how to sing and dance to the sound of music—Do Re Mi. It was a fun time for all and definitely a world-class performance. Internationally, the Chorale has been featured in China, Hong Kong, Brazil, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Russia, the BBC Promenade Music Festival in England’s Royal Albert Hall, the Ste. Baume and the AICLER Provence International Choral Festival in France and Italy, St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, the Aberdeen International Music Festival in Scotland, the World Vision Children’s Choral Festival in South Korea, the Unisong Festival in Canada, the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival in Italy and the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna. The artistic director, Debbie Desantis, when asked if she thought they would ever replicate the sound at The Tank, did say, “We have played all over the world—cathedrals, caves, etc.—and we have never experienced anything like The Tank!”
