Local author Lou Dean has received the Colorado Author’s League 2018 feature article award. The article, titled “Keeper’s Return” has been published in a new Guideposts publication, “All Creatures.” According to Dean, “It’s the story of a special dog that touched the lives of many. That same dog is a big part of my upcoming memoir, ‘Doubleday, Bantam, Dell and a Stray Dog named Keeper,’ which is about the dogs that have loved me for 40 years and supported me on my writing journey.” Dean is scheduled to speak at the Fireside Talk at the Rangely Outdoor Museum on June 8.
