Betsy Leola Pearson Hauck

Betsy Leola Pearson Hauck, 91, recently passed away while residing at the Walbridge Wing in Meeker, Colo.
Betsy was born on Sept. 8, 1926, in the family home in Powell Park to Peter and Clara Mathes Pearson.
At the age of 4, Betsy’s parents adopted her cousin Leah.
The girls attended school in Powell Park during their early years, later moving to town for the upper grades of schooling. Betsy graduated high school at the age of 16. After graduation Betsy attended Bonnie Beauty School in Denver.
On Feb. 22, 1948, Betsy became the wife of Glen Willard Hauck. Glen had leased the family ranch from her parents and they resided there until 1987 when they moved to Grand Junction. Betsy later moved to Texas and then back again to Colorado.
Betsy and Glen adopted three children: Theo, Thad and Kathy. All three children brought many happy memories to their parents over the years.
Betsy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, her sister Leah and an infant grandson. She leaves behind her children Theo (James) Franks of Texas, Thad (Judy) Hauck of Meeker, Kathy Hauck of Clifton, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Betsy’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Walbridge Wing and Dr. Krueger for their thoughtful and loving care during the past few years.
