I‘m not one of those wives who automatically “likes” her husband’s Facebook posts just because, but this week Pat wrote something that has stayed with me: “They may demand that you choose a side, but how can you when they only see two and you see in 3D?”
If that doesn’t sum up the current environment, I don’t know what does. Finding solutions to the problems we face is going to require us to look at situations from different angles and unfamiliar perspectives, and be willing to work together without getting in a snit.

The older I get the less patience I have with the perpetually displeased: the people who are never satisfied, never content, never happy, and those who feel it’s their God-given duty to let the whole world know how they’ve been wronged and mistreated, and how life hasn’t given them a fair shake. We all know at least one of these individuals, and most of us have spent at least a portion of our lives trying to make them happy. If you’re still doing that, stop. You’ll be happier, healthier and better off by letting the miserable remain miserable and moving on with your life. You’re not going to change them, no matter what you do, because the problem lies with them. There’s your two cents worth of psychotherapy for the week. Literally, two cents worth.
