RBC Weekly Call Review: Nov. 12-18, 2018

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.

Nov. 12-18, 2018

The dispatch center processed 514 phone calls this last week, receiving 20 911 calls, answered 42 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 170 outgoing phone calls. A total of 129 calls for service were created, 71 for the Sheriff’s Office, 50 for MPD. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency responses).

The Sheriff’s Office conducted 15 traffic stops issued three citations and MPD had 11 stops and issued one citations. Highway 13 south had one traffic stop and issued a warning.

Other calls for the Sheriff’s Office included nine agency assists, one 911 hang up, one alarm, 15 animal calls, two citizen assists, three civil issues, two motorist assists, two property, two suspicious incidents, two traffic accidents, five traffic complaints, two warrant arrests and one each: alarm, civil paper served, ATV accident, business check, harassment, M-1 transport, Search and Rescue, sexual assault, traffic hazard.

MPD calls included four agency assists, two 911 misdials,14 business checks, two citizen assists, three juvenile calls, two motorist assists, five suspicious incidents, two VIN inspections and one each: criminal mischief, property and traffic accident.

There were 10 calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue including three medical transfers and two ambulance requests, one grass fire, one alarm and three injury accidents.

There were five assists with Colorado State Patrol.

Rio Blanco Detentions facility booked in four and released three, all by RBSO. There are currently 12 inmates in the facility.

There were no DUI arrests and five accidents in the county, three involving animals.
