Renita Lazzell Ablott

Renita Lazzell Ablott, 62, passed away on Nov. 27, 2018, in her home. She was born on Aug. 27, 1956, in Rock Springs, Wyo. She attended Manila High School where she graduated in 1974. She married Kenneth Slaugh, and together they had three children. They divorced in 2001. She married Christopher Ablott in 2003 in Parachute, Colo. Renita was a musician, an artist and a crafter. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and arrowhead hunting. She loved her family fiercely. She was always there with a cup of coffee and words of wisdom whenever life got hard.
She is survived by her parents, Katherine Brown and Richard (Buck) Lazzell; a brother (Shane) and a sister (Marsha); her four children Anna, Justin, Mandy and Josey; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is already greatly missed.
Her family will be holding a celebration of life at the 4-H building at the Meeker, Colo., Fairgrounds on Jan. 12, 2018, beginning at 11 a.m. For memorial donations, please contact Mandy Richardson at 970-942-3178.
