MEEKER | Meeker students returned to school this week. While the ongoing construction at the high school is the most obvious change, there are more changes behind the scenes, including new staff, new classes, and some old programs that have returned.
According to Meeker School District Superintendent, the high school has two science teachers again and is now offering more Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) electives.
There are also a “handful” of different electives available to students at Barone Middle School, and fifth grade band has been added back to the elementary school. And for the first time in years, Meeker High School has a golf team again.
As for enrollment, Selle said enrollment is expected to be up slightly from last spring’s projected numbers.
