RBC | During the regular commissioners meeting in Rangely Tuesday, the commissioners:
– Approved the Rio Blanco County Columbine Park Advisory Board bylaws.
– Approved a support letter from the Board of County Commissioners of Rio Blanco County, Colorado to the BLM White River Field Office regarding a state funded OHV Grant to Support Open Areas.
BID AWARDS
– Awarded the 2019 Rio Blanco CR 7 Geotechnical Engineering Services Project to: Kumar & Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $6,250. Von Pilaud said that it was a “win-win for everyone,” logistically.
AGREEMENTS
– Approved Agreement Change Order No. 02 between the board and Castle Rock Microwave for the RBC Broadband Secondary Towers Project, increasing the scope of work and increasing the not to exceed amount by $2,548.38 to $481,560.36.
– Approved the agreement for services between the Board and Kumar & Associates, Inc. for the 2019 CR 7 Geotechnical Engineering Services Project in an amount not to exceed $6,250.
RESOLUTIONS
– Approved Resolution No. 2019-27 for the Landfill Rate Change. The rate will increase to $40 per ton for bulk rates flat fee.
COMMISSIONER’S UPDATES
– Commissioner Moyer reported that he and the other commissioners have spent time evaluating budget needs and requests. Moyer and Public Health Department Director Alice Harvey met with Moffat County about assisting them in starting their Public Health Department from scratch.
-The health department’s budget decreased approximately $80-100K yearly because of current staffing. Moyer said that he made contact with the state water engineer about the challenges the Rio Blanco Water Conservation District are having to get water rights. They are frustrated with the push back they are getting with the state water engineers. House District Representative Perry Will pledged to help with this issue.
-Commissioner Woodruff attended the Basin Round Table meeting and was pleased that Rio Blanco Water Conservation District Manager Alden Vanden Brink was elected as the new president.
