RBC | The White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts are hosting a landowner input session to hear what natural resource issues are the most important to you, the District taxpayer. This is your opportunity to tell the District board members what priorities should be focused on over the next three years.
Three years ago, the Districts and County had just finalized the Rio Blanco County Land and Natural Resources Plan and Policies (Resource Plan). Approximately 30 landowners attended the Districts’ landowner input session. They requested that the Districts utilize that Resource Plan to work with the various land management agencies ensuring local customs, cultures, and economy are respected during planning efforts on the public lands. The primary natural resource concerns identified were: 1) water (rights, quality, and quantity), 2) rangeland health, and 3) wildlife.
As the third year of that plan comes to a close, it is time for Rio Blanco County Landowners (taxpayers) to help the Districts determine their priorities for the next three years. Please join the Districts at their respective planning meetings to hear summary of the efforts in the past and provide input into the priorities for the future.

– Douglas Creek Conservation District – Saturday Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Rangely Hospital Meeting Room (as a part of their annual meeting so please RSVP for dinner)
