Meeker considers levy decrease, taxes still up

MEEKER I At the Oct. 20 regular board meeting, Town Administrator Sharon Day asked Meeker’s Board of Trustees to consider a temporary mill levy decrease for next year. Due to increased property tax valuations, the town expects an increase of $66,000 in property taxes next year.
“It’s probably insignificant for home owners. Not so insignificant for commercial property owners,” Day said.
