Meeker VFW Post 5843, Meeker American Legion Post 74 and Meeker VFW Auxiliary will be conducting Memorial Day services according to the following schedule.
✯ Friday, May 22 at 10 a.m. — Post of flags on graves of veterans at Highland Cemetery. Volunteers and volunteer groups are welcome to assist with this honored tradition as there are upwards of 200 plots that need to be identified and marked.
✯ Monday, May 25 at 9:30 a.m. — Presentation of Colors and Memorial Salute at Circle Park bridge followed by Presentation of Colors and Memorial Salute at the Veterans Memorial at Highland Cemetery at 10 a.m.
✯ Tuesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. — Removal of flags from graves of veterans at Highland Cemetery. Again, volunteers and volunteer groups are welcome to assist in this activity.
