The Meeker Summer Rodeo Series kicked off last Thursday with a great crowd and a large lineup of participants. The 2020 season is a free Thursday rodeo all summer through August. Organizer Regas Halandras, is ”hoping to see an uninterrupted summer of rodeo with people in the stands,” and reminds everyone “the rodeo is sponsored by our local businesses — no reason not to be there. Come one and all.” Rodeos begin at 7 p.m.
This past week featured more than 20 bull riders and a large gathering of ropers. Halandras is looking forward to a similar turnout this week.
