The junior varsity lady Panthers fell 0-3 this past week in some hard-fought games against Grand Valley, Hayden and Hotchkiss. They’ve had a tough time bringing together all aspects of the game but look forward to finishing strong this last weekend of the season.

The varsity lady Panthers ended a busy week 2-1. Rangely traveled to Grand Valley on Tuesday, April 13 and pulled out the win in five sets. Adelynn Halcomb led behind the service line with eight aces. Halcomb did a great job moving the ball around to her hitters. Aspen Low led with nine kills, Maya Mercado added seven kills, and Ryann Mergelman had six kills. Defensively, Mergelman and Halcomb led with 17 digs apiece. Rangely then traveled to Hayden on Friday, April 16. The lady Panthers got the win in four sets. Low led the offense with 13 kills, with Mercado chipping in six kills. Mercado led with seven solo blocks while Emma Smith led with 21 digs defensively. On Saturday, April 17, Rangely hosted Hotchkiss. The lady Panthers came out striking first, taking the first set but Hotchkiss had other plans for the Panthers, taking the next three sets. Halcomb led with five aces and 23 assists. Contributing offensively was Low with 14 kills and Kyrah Phelps with 10 kills The Panthers will finish up the regular season with a home match against Olathe Friday and then travel to Paonia on Saturday.
