Panthers fall to Bulldogs in final minutes of game

RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers went on another long bus ride last week to take on the 10th ranked Calhan Bulldogs. The Panthers played a strong first half and went into halftime leading 14-0. The team was led by Keihlan Myers who had 14 carries for 144 yards. Timothy Scoggins, Kobe Chism and Zane Varner each had 10 tackles defensively.

“I am proud of the kids. They played with a ton of effort. As we move into our league schedule we are going to have to continue to improve, and find ways to play 48 minutes of football,” said head coach Ryan Wilkie.

The team ended up losing 22-14 in the final minutes of the game. This week the Panthers head to Plateau Valley at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25.
