MEEKER I The It’s Showtime 4-H Club met on Sunday, March 13 at 4 p.m. First, we did a fun “Icebreaker” to warm up. There were three lines of kids. Each kid had a piece of paper taped to their back and the last person started to draw on the back of the kid directly in front of them. No one could talk, give sign language or show each other their pictures. Once the person was done drawing the kid in front of them that had their back drawn on had to draw what they thought was drawn on their back onto the paper on the back of the kid in front of them. The whole thing was based on how important communication is. It was pretty fun!
Following were demonstrations. Riley Wilson on parts of a pig, Dish Arnold on leather making, Kalee Ivy on how to saddle a horse, Mathew Willey on why you go to jackpots, Brodee Kilduff on what to have in your showbox, Taylor Kirkpatrick on breeding sheep, and Thomas Theos on how to wrap show lambs legs and why. Those of us not demonstrating split into different groups and we rotated through four times so we could see different demonstrations but it also allowed those demonstrating more experience.
