Due to Hwy 64 Evacuations, the Solid Waste Landfill will be closed until further notice.
The Fairfield Center (200 Main St.) in Meeker has been designated as the evacuation center. Livestock can be taken to the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds at 700 Sulphur Creek Rd.
Everyone in the area affected by the fires is urged to sign up for Rio Blanco Alerts to receive updates on evacuations and road closures, and to be prepared to evacuate.
