Special to the HT
MEEKER | On Saturday, Feb. 21, students traveled to Caprock Academy to compete at the Western Slope Regional History Day competition. This year’s annual theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform. Students were able to choose a topic of their choice to research under the broad theme and create an exhibit, website, performance, documentary, or historical paper. Students have been researching, analyzing, writing and creating their projects for several months.
Middle school students initially competed at our local competition in January, 23 students qualified for the regional competition. Three high school students also participated in the regional competition. At the regional competition, projects were reviewed and students were interviewed by judges about their research.
