On Jan. 23, 2021, Lt. Col. Robert Ormsbee (right), son of Bob and Gloria Ormsbee of Dinosaur, Colorado, was promoted to the position of Vice Commander North, NY Wing, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. Left is Col. John Jones, Commander, NY Wing. Prior to joining the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Ormsbee served 25 years in the U.S. Army retiring in June 2008. In February 2009 Ormsbee joined the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary as a way to continue serving his country. Ormsbee’s wife Michaela is a Major in U.S. Air Force Auxiliary and his youngest son David is serving in The U.S. Air Force at Joint base Lewis-McChord in WA. | COURTESY PHOTO
