RANGELY | The Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District has scheduled a water release from Kenney Reservoir on Thursday, July 19 after discussions with the Town of Rangely to determine if a pulse flow release from the reservoir could alleviate or reduce the impact of the algae bloom on the Town’s water system.
The flush will begin at approximately 8 a.m. with flows increased to approximately 1,100 CFS for a duration of at least 1 hour with a maximum of 4 hours depending upon incoming flows into Kenney Reservoir.
Be aware that water levels will be changing rapidly along the White River below Kenney Reservoir. Caution is urged.
