RBC I The 2015 Meeker High School Junior/Senior Prom is an all-inclusive event beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and running until 1 a.m. on Sunday at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center in downtown Meeker.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a 30-minute social gathering; dinner, catered by Hollidays, will be served at 7 p.m.; and the dance will begin after dinner, which is expected be be about 9 p.m., with music presented by a DJ.
The prom will celebrate the theme of “When the Lights Go Down in the City,” the title of a Journey song.
The grand march, when members of the royalty court and the prom king and queen are named, will take place at 10 p.m.
The dance is restricted to MHS juniors and seniors and their dates and is hosted by the MHS Junior Class, class sponsor Naomi Etchart said.
Formal attire is the dress for the event, Etchart said, adding that if students leave the building during the event, they will not be allowed back inside.
