MEEKER I The regular track season is winding down, and the Meeker track team continues to improve, with the goal of qualifying as many athletes as possible for the 2015 Colorado State Track and Field Championships in Denver in less than three weeks.
Meeker girls first while boys are third at track meet held in Rangely
MEEKER I Despite snow, wind and rain in Meeker on Saturday, Meeker High School Cowboy track coach John Strate said, “Both teams had a great day in Rangely,” where the girls won the team title and the boys finished third in a field of eight teams.

Meeker track team battles injuries
MEEKER I One of Meeker’s track stars returned from injury to compete in the annual Frank Woodburn Invitational, another was injured in the same meet and another is expected back this week, when the Cowboys run, jump and throw at Coal Ridge on Friday and in Glenwood Springs on Saturday.
Cowboys drop two games to Paonia, 14-2 and 27-2
MEEKER I “Paonia is always tough,” Meeker head baseball coach Jason Browning said. The Eagles were in Meeker on Saturday and won a doubleheader held after a JV game at Paintbrush Park. The Cowboys played in Hotchkiss on Tuesday and will host them at home Saturday.
