Flags across Colorado have been flown at half staff during the past week — as ordered by Gov. John Hickenlooper — to mourn the death of Tom Clements, his appointed executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections.

MEEKER | The timing is great for Deb Pettijohn to be this week’s “home of” honoree. Pettijohn retired from more than 20 years of service to the readers of the Herald Times last week. Just a few days later, on March 12, she became a grandmother for the first time.

MEEKER | John and Connie Kelley of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. John is a 16-year resident. Connie has lived here 37 years. They will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary April 24.

RANGELY | Dan and Ronda Gordon of Rangely are this week’s “home of” honorees. They have been Rangely residents since 1999. The Gordons will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary May 8.
