RANGELY I Four Panther wrestlers are headed to state. Rangely Junior High had four placers — including one first-place finisher — at last week’s regional tournament in Fruita, earning them a trip to the state tourney in Denver.
Panthers sweep doubleheaders
RBC I Talk about getting off to a good start. Rangely High School’s baseball team blasted Altamont, Utah, 13-6 in the season opener and hasn’t looked back. The Panthers swept doubleheaders last week against Altamont and Coal Ridge.

Four-day school week gets preliminary nod
RANGELY I A four-day school week has moved closer to becoming a reality. School board members voted Monday night to approve the switch to a four-day school week, contingent upon approval of an implementation plan to be presented at the board’s April 20 meeting.
