Lynn Carroll helped to serve food during last week’s benefit dinner for the Martin family. Vicki Cross and her husband, Phil, who are general managers of the Meeker Hotel and Cafe, organized the fundraising event. Vicki Cross said the community’s support for the benefit dinner “exceeded our expectations.”

RANGELY | Third-graders at Parkview Elementary School in Rangely presented the musical, “Show Me the Money,” on Feb. 3. The musical was based around the lives and accomplishments of the American presidents and statesmen whose portraits appear on U.S. currency.
Meeker to host junior high basketball tournament
RBC I Undefeated Barone Middle School will host Saturday’s league tournament. Meeker’s eighth-grade A team (6-0) beat Steamboat Springs 51-21 in its final tuneup last week, while the B team won 41-20.
