RBC I USDA Rural Development State Director Trudy Kareus announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is soliciting applications for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Community Connect Program grants, providing funds to establish essential broadband services in rural communities where it is currently not available.

Guided hikes set for state parks on Jan. 1

State doing away with ‘Wildlife Zones,’ reduced night speeds
RBC I House Bill 10-1238 directed the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to establish highway Wildlife Zones where there is an increased presence of wildlife near the roadway, with signage that doubles fines for all traffic infractions within the zones.

Several members of the Meeker Cub Scouts took part in the annual Meeker Parade Of Lights as well as the lighting of the Town of Meeker Christmas trees, Christmas carols by the Meeker Elementary School Choir and fireworks.
CNCC horse team wraps up first half of season with test at Utah State
