Band members compete in Rifle

MEEKER I Sixth-graders Kylee Bradford, Kale Burke, Pake Burke, Mikayla Cardile, Tannen Kennedy, Lila Klinglesmith, Victoria Lasker, Savana May, Kallie McCain, Briar Meszaros, Alex Murray, Abigayle Rosendahl, Makiah Todd, Kenzie Turner and Allie Willey; seventh-graders Macy Collins, Shelby Steele, Ivan Todd, Lauren Urista and Sierra Williams; and eighth-graders Clay Anderson, Madeline Amack, Delenn Mobley, Kendra Nelson and Meghan Smith; and Meeker High School students Chantel Pool and Selena Steele will represent Meeker School District at the Northwest Colorado Solo/Ensemble Contest in Rifle this Friday, Feb. 22 at Rifle High School.
Students will perform solos, duets, trios and quartets before an adjudicator for a rating and score against a set standard of excellence. Students will also perform an informal recital at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 for parents, peers and anyone else interested. The free recital will be in the band room at Barone Middle School.
