RBC | Rio Blanco County Fair sponsorship letters have been mailed and responses are coming in. Anyone who would like to be included on sponsorships, please contact the extension office at 970-878-9490 or the County Budget office at 970-878-9442. Sponsorships flow through the county budget process but do not become a part of the county finances. All sponsorship money is in control of the Rio Blanco County Fair Board and is allocated to the awards of the Rio Blanco County Fair.
So far, Watt’s Ranch Market has the spot as the most-diversified donor. JC Watt has committed to sponsoring the Indoor Open Exhibits, the Indoor 4-H General Exhibits, the Dog Show, the 4-H Horse and the Shooting Sports. Watt’s Ranch Market has been a purchaser at the Junior Livestock Sale for the 4-H/FFA animals raised by Rio Blanco County 4-H/FFA exhibitors for decades. Support from Watt’s Ranch Market has been a cornerstone for fair exhibitors for many years and is so much appreciated by the Rio Blanco County Fair.
As of the end of April, major sponsors are SGM, WREA, Bolton Construction, Jim and Bev Brennan and Elk Creek Ranch. Their support has helped the Fair Board with ordering Champion and Reserve buckles and banners, and the ongoing support of projects like rabbit and dairy and General 4-H indoor projects like cake decorating, baking, entomology, heritage arts, photography, fishing, scrapbooking and others. New 4-H projects include STEM projects like robotics, consumer buymanship, visual arts, cats and beekeeping. The 4-H/FFA members enrolled in these projects have so much excitement in exploring these avenues, and sincerely hope our community will share in their learning.
