



MEEKER | Barone Middle School tracksters had a big week with two times to complete.
At the night relays hosted by Meeker the following Cowboys took home ribbons.
In the boys hurdles Tucker Chinn, Dexter Chinn, Aiden Leathan and Ashton Tapia all took second place. In the girls medley relay, McKenna Berthelson, Julie Kracht, Norah Loar and Gracee Gardner placed third. The girls had two very competitive relays, first in the 4×200-meter relay of Berthelson, Kracht, Loar and Gardner finished in second place and the 4×100-meter relay of Berthelson, Kracht, Loar and Berkli Harvey took second place. For the boys’ field events in discus Andy Mondragon, Holt Pelloni, Jackson Elder, Hayden Massey and Ryan Hanberg placed second.
The team finished their week Saturday in Steamboat Springs with many more placing and setting some personal records.
Tucker once again placed second in hurdles and beat his previous record; Tucker also placed first in the 200 Meter Dash.
The girls 4×100 got it done for a second time, the team of Berthelson, Kracht, Loar and Gardner placed second.
Finally in field events Ruth LeBlanc took second in shot put.
“As a coaching staff we are extremely proud of how hard all of the athletes have worked this season”, said head coach Jordan Brown. “It’s been a fun season and it was a pleasure coaching these kids this year. We will have a select number of athletes competing in the Best of the Best this weekend.”
