Philanthropy can come in many forms, and even small acts of generosity can make a big difference.
This is the case with the upcoming Boards & Boots fundraiser for palliative care and grief counseling in Rio Blanco County hosted by HopeWest Meeker.
Palliative care is a type of care that focuses on providing comfort and support to people who are living with a serious illness. Funds raised at events such as Boards & Boots help us continue to provide support at no charge to HopeWest patients and families.
This event hosted on Saturday, June 10 at Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds is a fantastic opportunity for us to gather as a community and show our collective support for those who are facing serious illness and grief. It is also a chance to have some fun, enjoy some friendly competition and enjoy one another’s company over dinner and dancing! There will be amazing silent and live auction items provided by our generous local business and many friends of HopeWest.
Cornhole play will be teams of two with cash prizes and a lunch of brats and beers provided by the Meeker Lions Club. Our champagne reception begins at 5 p.m. followed by dinner prepared by Elk Creek Ranch, drinks served by the Meeker Lions Club and music provided by ED & CO, featuring Matt Holliday.
The funds raised at this event support HopeWest Meeker in continuing to provide care and access to local community members who need palliative care and grief counseling, regardless of their ability to pay.
Join us as a sponsor, player or dinner guest!
Every little bit helps in making our community one where we support one another during the most difficult times. The support of this community has been extraordinary and is the reason HopeWest Meeker is celebrating a Decade of Dedication.
