The Town of Meeker has instituted outdoor watering restrictions effective immediately through 5 p.m. Sunday.
According to Town Clerk Lisa Cook, the Town is seeing extremely high usage numbers this summer. Last month, Meeker residents used a record 62,000,000 gallons, six million more than ever before.
“The Town of Meeker has been doing work on the pump house and in doing that haven’t been producing water,” Cook said. That construction work, combined with extremely high usage, means the wells will need a few days to refill and recalibrate.
So, skip watering your lawn this weekend (and maybe do a rain dance or five.)
