RANGELY — An Eagle Scout project was carried out this past week by Hyrum Byers in which community members were instructed on how to maintain their own vehicles. The instruction included a “hands on” oil change of their own car. The project went very well thanks to the members of the different Boy Scout troops in town. Byers would like to publicly thank the following individuals and businesses for their generous donations and much needed help: Brad Casto at Napa Auto Parts, Everett Vaughan at White River Market, Bud Striegel at W.C. Striegel, Rodger Polley at Rangely True Value and Gary Staley at Basic Energy. The project would not have been a success without their help. Byers would also like to thank Ron Reich and the Rangely School District for its help and use of its facilities.
