Carson & Barnes Circus in Meeker on Wednesday

MEEKER I Carson & Barnes Circus is bringing its its colossal white and red tented big top show to Meeker — a fun-filled, awe-inspiring circus experience with the most talented human and animal acts from around the world.
The circus will be in Meeker on Wednesday for two shows at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Rio Blanco Fairgrounds, 779 Sulphur Creek Rd. The show is hosted by Meeker Chamber of Commerce, and discounted advance tickets are now available at the chamber office, 710 Market St.
The new 2014 edition of the Carson & Barnes Circus is jam-packed with top-notch acts from more than 10 countries and more than 50 animal stars from all five continents. Housed in our white and red state-of-the-art tent with a multi-million dollar sound and lighting system complementing its blue and white starred interior.
The show tours nine months in more than 20 states, 260 cities and performs more than 600 shows, making it the largest traveling tented show in the U.S.
“This is the real circus,” is the official motto for our 2014 season, a truly family-oriented spectacle, bringing you up close with our heart-thumping elephants, a menagerie of camels, llamas, Katy our pygmy hippopotamus, precarious climbing goats, llamas, alpacas, horses, ponies, talented pooches and a unique addition — the smallest elephant in the world.
The circus also brings talented human performers from around the world, such as the Cavallini family trapeze flyers from Las Vegas, Nevada; the Dominguez motorcycle globe of death from Colombia; incredible acrobats from Mexico; a truly hilarious pair of clowns, Yecory and Marquino; an amazing magic number from England; beautiful aerial artists and show girls from the U.S., Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Italy and Canada to mention a few. This year is poised to be the best one yet.
Carson & Barnes is entering its 78th year in operation. The “Circus City USA” based company has toured continuously all 50 states, entertaining millions of families, featured countless times in local and national TV, newspapers, magazines and radio.
