Pioneers Medical awards $7,000 in scholarships

MEEKER — In order to address the growing shortage of healthcare professionals, Pioneers Medical Center awarded $7,000 in scholarships to eastern Rio Blanco County residents who are pursuing degrees in healthcare. On May 17, nine individuals were awarded scholarships.

RANGELY — Kelsie Collins, daughter of David and Jenny Collins of Rangely, received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and business from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., May 10, 2008.
