RANGELY I The Hurricanes traveled to Craig over the weekend to participate in the annual ABC Open meet sponsored by the Sea Sharks.
Meeker Golf Course busy, hosts RBC Cup this weekend
RBC I The Meeker Golf Course was the site of two benefit tournaments last weekend and will host players from Rangely’s Cedar Ridges Golf Course this weekend for the eighth annual Rio Blanco County Cup.

RBC I There should be little road work the rest of this week on Highway 64 between Rangely and Meeker, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Playoff needed to determine winner
RANGELY I Nine teams competed in the annual Elks Scramble golf tournament at Cedar Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, yet the competition was so close a playoff was needed to determine the winner. The local team prevailed.

Florence Rooks, who has made Rangely her home since 1948 (66 years), will leave Rangely soon to move to Omaha, Neb., to be near her daughter.
