A Fair tribute …

Fair books for the 2011 Rio Blanco County Fair are out and fair board members Forrest Nelson, Danny Lapp, Adair Norman, Ed Coryell and Cindy Garner, (Mary Washburn) and Karen Arnold dedicated it to Mary Washburn and presented her with the first copy, which includes a tribute to her inside.

Watch for elk on Highway 13

RBC I Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers are warning motorists on State Highway 13 south of Meeker to be especially watchful for large numbers of elk congregating on a five- or six-mile stretch of road around mile marker 26.

State fair fine arts deadline July 30

RBC I Artists throughout Colorado are busy preparing their finest work for the 2011 Colorado State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. Most mediums are accepted and two divisions for artwork submission are being offered: emerging artist/student and professional.

Pennies Plus project to help society

RBC | The Rio Blanco Historical Society is asking everyone to share your pennies (all other coins accepted, too!) to help us pay off our book loan debt. We need 10 million pennies. Coin containers are available everywhere around town as well as at the museum.
