RANGELY I The lady Panthers’ basketball team will play the Wray Eagles in Denver this Friday in the Region 4 tournament after playing two games in the district tournament last weekend in Paonia. Head coach Quinton Kent is excited about his team’s post-season opportunity.

RANGELY I The Rangely boys’ basketball team lost their final game of the regular season in Meeker last Friday and a loss in Kremmling ended the season for the Panthers but head coach Eric Hejl is ready to start working toward next year’s success.

RANGELY I The Rangely girls’ basketball team lost games to Paonia and Hotchkiss last week and will play their final game of the regular season in Meeker, this Friday. Rangely hosted Paonia last Friday and lost 26-55, to the league’s No. 1 team.

RANGELY I “It was the same story, different game,” Rangely girls’ basketball coach Quinton Kent said of his team’s 41-28 win over the Vail Christian Saints last Saturday at home. “We got off to a somewhat slow start but then buckled down defensively in the second half and pulled away.”
Panthers lose to Tigers on road, beat Rams at home
RANGELY I “This is gonna be one of those games that got away,” Rangely boys’ basketball coach Eric Hejl said about the 42-49 loss in Hayden after his team jumped out to a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.

RANGELY I The lady Panthers basketball team won two league games last weekend defeating the lady Tigers (49-35) in Hayden last Friday then beating the lady Rams from Soroco (36-29) at home Saturday last. The lady Panthers will travel to Vail this Saturday to play Vail Christian.

RANGELY I The Panthers boys’ basketball team won two games last weekend, defeating the Plateau Valley Cowboys 43-34, then pounding DeBeque 61-32 at home Saturday last. The Panthers will play in Hayden this Friday and host the Soroco Rams this Saturday afternoon.
